Finding Common Ground

The Tennessee General Assembly has gotten too far away from really helping hardworking Tennesseans like you and me.

I could have easily chosen to continue sitting on the sidelines waiting for someone else to solve our state’s issues. I have a supportive job that I love, three terrific kids, and two dogs that require a lot of attention from me.

But about a year ago, I realized that if I wanted someone to fight for hardworking Tennesseans like you and me, I needed to be the one to do it.

The supermajority in the General Assembly has become too comfortable with passing extreme laws that don’t do a thing to make the lives of Tennesseans any better-and using our tax dollars to do it.

That’s what I mean when I say that I want to refocus the state on the issues that really matter to Tennesseans: great schools, quality healthcare, and housing that’s affordable to the working-class folks who keep our state and cities running.

But even if we break the supermajority in November, we have to work hard to find common ground with people of all persuasions. I’m committed to working across the aisle to help the people who need it the most.

We need to flip ten seats in November to break the supermajority in the General Assembly, and I know District 30 can be one of those seats. Can you help us make it happen?

Thank you!

Thank you so much to everyone who showed up to write postcards with us Tuesday night! We have some leftover cards to fill out; let me know if you would like to pick up another stack!
